We love our Amana freezer. My Grandmother used to be PR for Amana in the 50's, so this product is close to our hearts. My husband and I love to cook as did my Grandma because she would cook all the fabulous food for the open door photo shoots for Amana products, so we always are buying food to keep in the freezer. We love the look of it and the way it stores our food. Great appliance.

The greatest feature is that's is frost free, you can easily remove frozen items with out having to chisel or pry away meat or items through the ice buildup.

Our chest freezer was showing signs of imminent failure so we got rid of it. We then decided we wanted an upright freezer for better visibility and access. I searched among the many choices and saw this at our local Fry's store. And it's an Amana! Granted, apparently Whirlpool bought the name but we've had good luck with Whirlpool as well. One month in, we're happy. It chills food fast, it's quiet and the compressor does not turn on frequently after the internal temperature is stabilized.

Our Amana freezer failed after only 2 years. The control board is bad according to our appliance repair tech. We ordered the part on Sept 6 with an expected delivery date of 9/28. No part. The order status now shows 11/23; a date that is NOT guaranteed by the manufacturer. Nobody is willing to help expedite this part. Here we are, waiting months for a replacement part on an essentially new freezer.

I bought my upright freezer in 1966!!! It is 52 years old and still working well. I defrost it every spring......before the harvest of berries and fruit. Best investment I ever made. Thanks Amana!!!

Before I bought this freezer I had a chest freezer and it was difficult to find what I was looking for. This upright freezer is so much easier and stores so much more. Freezes perfectly and makes finding what I need a breeze

I have only had this freezer a couple of weeks but I am very happy with it so far. My old chest freezer went out and I had to get something in a hurry. I decided I wanted an upright freezer because it is hard for me to reach all the food in the chest freezer and I really do not need that much freezer space. This freezer does not hold as much as the chest freezer but it is more convenient to use. I can see all the food and reach it easily. I think I am going to be very happy with it. No problems yet.

Great product, very functional with the movable storage shelves and the bottom drawer. The lighting is great, and there's lots of room. We almost went with a chest style freezer, but I'm glad we chose this one!

We have only had the freezer for two weeks and it seems to work very well. The manual stated it would take 6-8 hours to get down to the operating temperature. It took about five hours. We have had other Amana refrigerators over the past 30 years. All have worked very well. The freezer is working great!

We decided to replace our 14-year-old upright freezer before it dies and selected an Amana upright freezer to replace it. So far we are very pleased. Although it has more capacity than our old freezer, it is smaller and more compact. It is quieter, runs less often, and is much more energy efficient. We are very pleased!

This freezer runs very quietly and cools very quickly. It is frost free and does not require changes in cooling ranges. It has nice shelves plenty of space for food. The only problem I had was that the electrical cord was too short to reach the outlet, since outlets in basements are placed higher than in regular living spaces.

We replaced a manual defrosting upright freezer with this self-defrosting upright. Having the extra freezer space is only a money saver if the cost of operation (electrical rating) doesn't offset all the savings from being able to load up on sale items throughout the year, as well as being able keep fish and fruit that is abundant seasonally. This frost free is rated to use less KWhours per year than my old manual defrost upright, and is surprisingly more quiet. With Amana's reliability record we expect low to no repair costs. That coupled with the sale price and free delivery sold us on the new freezer.

We have a small chest freezer but it was impossible to find anything and once I started storing breastmilk we had to find something that worked better for our frozen food storage. Had several options to choose from at the store but ultimately chose this because the interior storage configuration was the best and the overall size wasn't too large. Very easy to see what you have. The large bin at the bottom was the feature that sold us as almost every other option had nothing at the bottom. Would absolutely purchase again. My family of 5 is getting a ton of use out of this product.

When we moved into our new home in 1979, we wanted the best of everything. An Amana upright freezer was purchased and delivered and used for 37-1/2 years!!! Well, in mid-December 2016, this freezer ceased and I hoped I could find one the exactly the same. When I called the dealer asking that, I was told Amana still made an upright freezer and I rushed right over to see for myself. The new model is so similar but far, far better, mainly because it is Frost Free and the slatted shelving as opposed to the old solid shelves allows air to better circulate! Love that it is so much quieter, too. Thank you, Amana, for your improvements and for still giving me the same sufficient cubic feet! I called my dealer and ordered an additional shelf. This is a great option which will give me more storage space.

What a Wonderful Addition to my Life!

I have never had a separate freezer until this month when my daughter gave me my Amana freezer. To say that I am thrilled is putting it mildly. I can't say how wonderful it is to be able to buy those things which are on sale and not miss out on a lot of savings. This freezer is a super addition to my household and makes my life easier when decision time comes and I have to pick out something to cook for dinner. I also have a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer which is so very limiting spacewise that this freezer is such a wonderful addition!

It took me weeks to find the right freezer for our basement. We have a door opening of 31 inches and needed an upright that is no frost, and they are not easily found. Glad I finally found Amana.Though I've only had the upright freezer for few weeks, but everything seems good. It holds food well, good distribution of air and well insulated. Happy with this purchase.

Perfect size for a retired couple. Got rid of an old 13.8cf non frost free and replaced it with the new one. No more defrosting a couple times a year. At 81 yo it makes life much better.

We had a "box" type freezer and it was a nightmare. Whatever you needed was always on the bottom! You would have to take half the stuff out to get what you needed and in the process you would find all the old stuff you forgot to use and have to throw it away. Now I can see what I have and utilize everything to my advantage.

Oh, my goodness, how I love my new Amanda freezer! After years of struggling to find a particular item in our old chest freezer, I am thrilled with the convenience of being able to organize meats, veggies, desserts, etc for easy access. Everything is easy to locate and I can find an item without everything falling to the bottom of the old freezer where it was unreachable without diving in up to my knees. I also appreciate the frost-free feature.
